GOING GREEN!
Recycling is second-nature at Epworth. And we’re pushing to reduce our carbon footprint even further. With small steps like biodegradable paper products, low-impact cleaning supplies, electronics recycling, rainwater irrigation, and more, we’re doing our part to live green. With a comprehensive energy audit, we’re becoming a partner congregation of Georgia Interfaith Power and Light. Follow along >>

CANDLER PARK BROOK RESTORATION
Flowing through an urban watershed, the creek once channeled through concrete and pipes, with poor water quality and little aquatic life. A dedicated group of Atlantans brought the creek back to life through a multi-year natural channel restoration project funded by 319(h) grant. Invaluable partnerships – including Park Pride and Friends of Candler Park — supported this first collaboration between the City of Atlanta and EPA. Epworth Church, located at the creek’s headwaters, now holds the project records, on display for community reference. All are welcome to browse the files, view interpretive signage along the stream banks, and join periodic tours of the healthy naturalized stream. Find out more>> contact Friends of Candler Park or email Epworth.
